As more-or-less a new "Coloradan," I have learned to embrace the need for functional fashion here in the mountainous state. While typically perceived as a place with rather cold, harsh winters, I was surprised to find most days are actually filled with sunshine - even throughout the winter months. I have also found that to really take advantage of what Colorado has to offer, one has to be an adventurer...and dress like one too.
I found this pair at my local J.Crew store. Made from a cotton blend of yarns, these buffalo plaid-patterned trouser socks are comfortable and remain soft even after multiple machine-washes. Although initially attracted to them as more of a fashion accessory for my weekend hikes, I quickly began to appreciate the warmth and coziness of a quality pair of socks. This J.Crew style will run you about $12.50.
